About Jefferson Wells

Two years ago, Jefferson Wells was founded as part of the ManpowerGroup to establish itself as the group's Engineering & Life Sciences expertise hub. Thanks to our extensive work for Experis, we got the chance to create a holistic marketing approach for Jefferson Wells to help them achieve their ambitions in Belgium.

The Challenge

Many challenges exist when starting and positioning a new brand within a global company. But the bigger the challenge, the better we like it.  

To build a brand from scratch, we had to overcome the following challenges in collaboration with Jefferson Wells:

  • We had to create a compelling go-to-market strategy based on in-depth research followed by validation.
  • We had to build an entirely new customer acquisition structure.
  • Engineering & Life Sciences are complex profiles to find. This didn't make the search any easier.
  • An audience must be built to convince them that Jefferson Wells has extensive expertise in Engineering & Life Sciences.

We had to bring structure to build an oiled marketing engine to overcome the challenges described above.

The Approach

Our growth hacking team took a strategic approach to achieve the predetermined goals. We began by immersing ourselves in the worlds of Engineering and Life Sciences, learning as much as possible about the two industries.

Next, we held workshops with the business representatives at Jefferson Wells to ensure that our strategy suited them and aligned with the company's global strategy. In that matter, we were able to well-coordinate the start of this successful adventure.

Thanks to the workshops with the business team, we determined which barriers we would have to overcome to reach Jefferson Wells' ambitions. After the research part, it was time to pour our knowledge into a go-to-market strategy. To validate the effectiveness of this strategy, we A/B tested different approaches.

Because of the research, validation & collaboration with the Jefferson Wells business development team, we determined the right approach and started creating content & advertisements.

Lastly, let's take a closer look at our actions that laid the foundation.

  • We held brainstorms to generate ideas to implement in our growth strategy.
  • We set up frameworks & created the assets for all future events, such as job fairs.
  • We installed the marketing funnels on the website to ensure new leads got the proper follow-up.

Afterward, we started taking things into practice as follows:

  • We started testing all the actions we undertook. We analyzed our content, ads & events to see what works best to attract profiles in Engineering & Life Sciences.
  • We introduced growth loops focusing on attracting new candidates and consultants based on the existing ones.

Throughout the process, we functioned as a close extension of the marketing team at ManpowerGroup to ensure Jefferson Wells would become the best in his field of expertise.

The Outcome

Thanks to our 360 marketing approach, Jefferson Wells has emerged as a strong brand in Belgium's Engineering and Life Sciences recruitment market. On an international level, the Belgium division has become one of the best-performing companies within the Jefferson Wells network.

The achieved outcome was made possible through close collaboration with both ManpowerGroup's marketing team and Jefferson Wells' business team, with our team serving as the driving force behind the acceleration of the brand.

To end, we would like to add some interesting numbers to this project.

  • In less than two years, the Jefferson Wells LinkedIn audience in Belgium grew to a staggering 12.000 followers.
  • We build strong acquisition channels by analyzing the different job boards we attended. Thanks to this, we know exactly which job boards are worth the time & money.
  • Our ads were always optimized to reduce costs.
  • An average B2B webinar we hosted for Jefferson Wells had 150 attendees.
  • We had a continuous inflow of B2C leads.

The past two years were a blast, and we are very excited to expand the success of Jefferson Wells. We will keep testing and adjusting to improve our holistic marketing approach.
